She has plenty of experience. CRFlamengo judoka Kátia Cardoso secured another silver medal for her collection by placing second at the 2rd World Blind Games. Cardoso represents the up to 48kg weight category, B2/B3 (low vision).

With the participation of around 1.600 athletes, the competition, which is a qualifier for the Beijing 2008 Paralympics, will be held until August 7th, in two locations: São Paulo and São Caetano do Sul.

It wasn't the first time the judoka had won a silver medal at a major event. During the 2004 Athens Paralympics, Karla Cardoso secured 2nd place on the podium after defeating her main opponents. It was Brazil's first medal at the Athens Paralympic Games.
