The year 2008 will forever be remembered by CRFlamengo judoka Leonardo Leite. At the peak of his physical fitness, Leonardo has been preparing for the Hamburg Super World Cup and the Prague World Cup.

Leonardo, who is part of group 2 of the Brazilian team, travels to Germany this Wednesday, where he will face opponents in the light heavyweight category (-100kg).

Luciano Correa, from Minas Gerais, the red-and-black team's direct rival for the starting spot in the category, didn't perform well in the two stages he competed in. This makes Leonardo Leite's chances of representing Brazil at the Beijing Olympics even more real.

The starting position will be defined by the CBJ technical committee, after the red-black team's performance in the two competitions.
