Flamengo's judo team once again stood out on the international stage with excellent results at the Bielsko-Biala U18 European Cup in Poland. The traditional competition brought together some of the top talents from the world's youth judo ranks, serving as a barometer for major events in the second half of the year.

Representing the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved), athletes Manuela Maia (57 kg) and Clarisse Vallim (70 kg) reached the podium after consistent campaigns, winning bronze medals in their respective categories. These results reinforce Flamengo's leading role in developing young judokas with high technical and mental performance.

For Clarisse Vallim, the bronze medal was even more special: it was her first international medal, marking an important step in her sporting career. Manuela Maia, meanwhile, confirmed her excellent form. After winning gold at the Pan American and Oceania U18 Championships, the athlete once again demonstrated technical superiority and determination to reach another international podium.

In addition to the medalists, Flamengo also had good performances from Ruan Vasconcellos (81kg) and Maria Júlia Hottis (70kg), both finishing their campaigns in seventh place. 

With their results in Poland, Manuela, Clarisse, and Ruan remain firmly in contention for a spot at the U18 World Championships, which will be held in the second half of the year. The trio's performance at the European Cup reinforces their confidence in the upcoming work being done in the youth ranks of the red-and-black judo team, with a plan focused on technical excellence and the continuous development of the athletes.
