Another test for judoka Linda Calderaro. After undergoing knee surgery, which left her seven months off the mat, Linda competed in two competitions: the Rio de Janeiro Championship and the Rio de Janeiro Trophy. In both, the red-and-black athlete secured the silver medal.
The red-black team's new commitment will be the University Olympics – JUBS, the largest university sporting event.
Linda, who will be representing Universo/Niterói, will travel next Friday (the 5th) to Itajaí, Santa Catarina, where the judo competitions will be held. The return of the red-black and black team and the other judokas is scheduled for June 15th.
JUBS, which will be held between June 9th and 17th, will be attended by around 3.500 students who will be seeking a place to compete in the Universiade, in August, in Thailand.
The JUBS competitions will be held in three cities in Santa Catarina: Blumenau, Itajaí and Palhoça.
