This is the spirit of the Brazilians who will be in action on the mats at the Centre Pierre Charbonneau, in Montreal, Canada, for the Senior Pan American Judo Championships.

The competition, which will count towards the classification ranking for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, will begin on the 24th, with the main weight categories.

Leonardo Leite, a reserve for the Brazilian national team in the light heavyweight division (-100kg), will take the stage this Thursday. The qualifying rounds will begin at 10 a.m. (local time) and the finals are scheduled for 16 p.m. (local time).

The CBJ coaching staff opted to field the men's reserve team. The women's team, led by Rosicléia Campos, a CRF coach, will be represented by the first team.

The competition will take place between May 24th and 26th. The Brazilian team is scheduled to return on the 30th.
