Another major challenge awaits the members of the Brazilian judo team. On November 17th and 18th, the World Judo Team Championships will be held in Beijing, host of the 2008 Olympic Games.
The Brazilian team will feature Leonardo Leite, a reserve in the light heavyweight category (-100kg) at the Rio 2007 Pan American Games. Leonardo is the only judoka from CRFlamengo who still has the dream of representing Brazil at the Olympics.
It will be an excellent opportunity for judokas to see the facilities where the sport's fights will be held during the 2008 Olympics.
The Brazilian judo team will depart on the 12th, next Monday. Leonardo Leite, the red-and-black team, will take the stage on the 18th. Only two countries will represent the Americas: Brazil in the men's competition and Cuba in the women's competition.
