The recovery took about seven months, but Linda Calderaro's absence from the mats was worth it. The judoka has just been discharged and is fully recovered from the right knee injury that kept her out of action since October of last year.

Next week, the Flamengo judoka will be able to return to training normally to face her first post-surgery challenge, Jub's.

The competition, which will be held in Blumenau (SC), next month, will be a test to evaluate the level of resistance of the judoka's knee, representing the heavyweight category.

Even before being discharged by her doctor, Dr. Lucas Ramadan (São Paulo), Linda took a chance on the Campeonato Carioca, in which she ended up finishing in 2nd place.

– "I had to represent Flamengo in this competition. I knew the importance of entering the fighting area and fighting for my club to the best of my ability. I won the first fight, but ended up giving up in the final because I felt pain in my hamstring."
