Marcelo Souza and Ricardo Ayres, standouts from the CRFlamengo dojo, are packing their bags to represent Brazil at the 2007 Military Judo World Championship. The competition will be held between October 14th and 21st in Hyde Park, India.

The exciting competitions at the Military World Championships are nothing new for the two red-and-blacks. Last year, Marcelo and Ricardo also represented the country at the World Championships, held in Croatia. On that occasion, Ricardo Ayres, in the under-60kg weight class, took 5th place.

Marcelo, who represents the -81kg category, finished in 9th place, after being defeated by Slovak Mario Benkoczky and being eliminated in the repechage.

Soldiers Marcelo Souza and Ricardo Ayres embark for India this Wednesday, the 10th.
