Nine athletes from Flamengo's artistic swimming team have been selected for the Brazilian National Team, which will compete in the 4th São Paulo Open, held from June 28th to 30th at Clube Paineiras do Morumby, São Paulo. The competition will serve as a preparatory test for the World Aquatics Championships in mid-July.

Renan Alcântara, Giovana Stephan, Maria Clara Lobo, Lorena Molinos, Maria Eduarda Miccuci, Laura Miccuci, Gabriela Regly, Vitória Cazali and Jullia Catharino will represent the Most Beloved in the competition.

In addition to the nine Flamengo players, Roberta Perillier, Flamengo's artistic swimming coach, will also be present as one of the national team's coaches. She commented on the importance of the tournament, which precedes the World Championships.

"This competition will be very important, as it's preparation for the World Cup, which we'll be heading to next week. Having a competition at the level of the São Paulo Open on the eve of the World Cup is great for finalizing the details before we travel," the red-and-black team noted.

The Brazilian delegation will depart on July 4th for Gwangju, South Korea, where they will compete in the World Aquatics Championships from July 12th to 20th. From there, the national team will head directly to Peru, the host country for the Pan American Games in Lima. The event will be held from July 29th to 31st.

The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
