The renovation work that has already been carried out in the red-and-black synchronized swimming team should continue in 2015. According to coach Roberta Perillier, the sport will bet on young talents to remain among the elite of the sport in Brazil and South America.

"Our expectation is renewal. We're going to invest a little more in the youth teams, trying to put together a new children's team and expanding our youth team. Furthermore, we're going to work to maintain our results in the junior and senior teams," said the Flamengo and Brazilian national team coach.

The girls' first match will be the fourth edition of the Brazil Synchro Open, an international competition that brings together national teams and clubs in the fight for medals. The red-and-black athletes will split their time between Flamengo and the Brazilian national team, as in the last edition.

After a transitional season in 2014, Roberta Perillier sees the red-and-black team growing. "In 2014, there were technical changes to the FINA and CBDA rules, changes to the participation ratios of athletes called up to the Brazilian National Team, among other changes. For our team, all of this was very beneficial, as it generated technical growth and investment in the youth teams. We maintained impressive results this season, such as the Senior state title, and we're already looking forward to new developments for 2015," she concluded.
