The Junior World Synchronized Swimming Championships, held in St. Petersburg (Russia), ended last weekend, with Brazil competing in all the finals of the competition.

Brazil's combined free routine finished 8th among the 12 participating countries. The Brazilian team had Giovana Stephan, Camila Almeida, Maria Bruno, Maria Eduarda Cavalcante, Gabriela Figueiredo, Priscila Japiassu, Lorena Molinos, Jessica Noutel, Maria Eduarda Werneck and Marcela Pereira.

The soloist Giovana Stephan, federated by CRFlamengo, was placed 12th among the 24 soloists, the same position as the duet of Giovana and Lorena Molinos and the team event.

Russia continues to dominate the sport, taking all the gold medals. Canada, Japan, China, and Greece also took turns on the podium.
