Ten Flamengo athletes were selected for the Brazilian Artistic Swimming team. After a tryout held in late December in São Paulo, the results were announced by the Brazilian Aquatic Sports Confederation. The swimmers will join the Junior and Senior teams that will represent Brazil in international competitions.

Jaddy Milla, Jullia Catharino, and Laura Micucci participated in the tryouts for the first time and secured spots. Gabriela Regly, Giovana Stephan, Juliana Damico, Lorena Molinos, Maria Clara Lobo, Maria Eduarda Micucci, and Renan Alcântara also represented the Mais Querido.

Flamengo coach Beta Perillier celebrated the news.

"I'm very happy with the result. Of all our athletes, only one was left out, so I'm very satisfied. We got good placements, first and second place. The Junior athletes also made it into the Senior category, which shows that we have a good technical level," says the coach.

Athlete Lorena Molinos did not participate in the tryouts due to health issues, as did Gabriela Regly, who suffered a hamstring injury the previous week. Both athletes had already been on the national team and were called up for evaluation at the start of the season.
