Seven athletes from the Rio de Janeiro artistic swimming team received awards from the Rio de Janeiro Aquatic Federation (FARJ), which selects the year's best in each category. The awards took into account the swimmers' performance in state competitions held during the 2019 season.        

The Most Beloved athletes who were awarded are: João Victor Bouças, Giovana Stephan, Jullia Catharino, Jaddy Mila Portela, Eduarda Carrilho, Ana Clara Almeida and Giovana Faria.

"This is a really cool award, very motivating for the athletes, making them want to compete in state competitions. It also becomes a challenge, allowing coaches to better prepare their teams for the championships. FARJ promotes this recognition by ranking the athletes who stood out the most during the season. I really like the idea and thank the Federation for encouraging its athletes and recognizing their merits for participating in the competitions and for performing their roles with excellence," said Roberta Perillier, Flamengo's artistic sports manager.
