The Brazilian Junior Artistic Swimming Team is about to debut at the World Championships and has three red-and-blacks to do well in the competition. Jaddy Passos, Jullia Catharino and Laura Micucci are in Budapest, Hungary, and will compete for Brazil starting this Wednesday (18). 

The Mais Querido athletes compete in the Technical Team and Free Team events. Laura also competes in the Technical Duet and Free Duet events alongside Anna Giulia Veloso. A gold medalist at the 2017 South American Championships, Jaddy commented on the excitement of representing Brazil again.

"I feel flattered. It's an honor to represent my country once again. Training was very demanding, but we gave our all to achieve our goal of reaching the final," the swimmer commented. 

On the way to her first participation in the World Championship, Jullia Catharino also spoke about the team's goal.

"We have very high expectations, we want to reach the final, be among the twelve best countries in the world and maintain Brazil's last best result," said the red-black team. 

There will be more than 300 athletes from 40 countries in action in the championship, which ends next Sunday (22).
