Bernardo commented on his expectations for this new challenge and promised to dedicate himself to training to achieve good results representing the Brazilian team.
"I'm very excited about this opportunity. It's been a year of many changes for me. I moved to Rio de Janeiro and started training with Flamengo. A few years ago, I tried to qualify through the National Team Selection, but it didn't work out. This season, I qualified, and now I'm going to dedicate myself to training to achieve good results," said the Flamengo athlete.
The South American Absolute Artistic Swimming Championship will be held between March 31 and April 6, 2020, at the Parque Olímpico de la Juventud, in Buenos Aires.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
