Flamengo will be competing this weekend (7th and 8th December) in the Brazilian Absolute Synchronized Swimming Championship. Holders of the last two titles (12 and 2005), the red-black team will be seeking its seventh championship. This will be the last competition in the sport, having won a bronze medal at the Pan-Rio Games in 2006.

The competition, which will be held at the Guanabara Aquatic Park, will feature the participation of 35 athletes from four Clubs (Flamengo, Tijuca, Paineiras do Morumby and the Argentine Gimnasia Y Esgrima).

The CRFlamengo will have nine representatives on stage: Giovanna Stephan, Michelle Motta, Gláucia Heier, Lorena Molinos, Maria Eduarda Wolf, Maria Eduarda Werneck, Camila Ururahy, Marcela Pereira, and Mariana Santos. The theme that the red-and-blacks will cover in the free team event will be Happy Feet.
