It's her turn! Ana Clara Almeida comments on her call-up to the South American Youth Championship
Rubro-negra participates in its first competition as an athlete of the Brazilian Artistic Swimming Team

Flamengo will once again have a representative on the Brazilian Youth Artistic Swimming Team. Ana Clara Almeida has been selected for the South American Youth Championship, which will take place from April 2nd to 6th at the Alcalde Godoy Municipal Aquatic Center in Chile.
In February, Ana Clara participated in the second stage of the National Selection, held at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Park, and secured her spot on the Brazilian youth team. The red-and-black athlete has been with Mais Querido since 2015, when she took her first steps on the youth team.
"I'm trying to stay as focused as possible this last week, where training is getting better and better. I'll represent Brazil in the Figure and Team events, and then I'll compete in the Combined Routine. I'm very happy to be able to represent the national team and Flamengo in this competition, which is so important for the Brazilian youth teams. My expectations of winning medals are very high," commented the red-and-black.
Ana Clara Almeida will travel to Chile with the Brazilian delegation next Sunday (31). The national team will remain in the country until April 6, the end date of the competition.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
