With the red-blacks in action, the Brazilian team shines at the 4th São Paulo Open Artistic Swimming Championships
Athletes from Mais Querido won five gold medals in a competition held at Paineiras do Morumby-SP

The Flamengo athletes who are part of the Brazilian artistic swimming team shone at the 4th São Paulo Open, held from July 28th to 30th at the Paineiras do Morumby Club pool in São Paulo. The national team finished the competition with five gold medals.
Renan Alcântara, Giovana Stephan, Maria Clara Lobo, Lorena Molinos, Maria Eduarda Miccuci, Laura Miccuci, Gabriela Regly, Vitória Cazali and Jullia Catharino, in addition to the other athletes, formed the Brazilian team that secured first place in the Mixed Technical and Free Duet, Technical Teams, Free and Combined Routine events.
"We achieved scores above 8.1 in all our routines, which was a great achievement. The competition served as an opportunity to hear the judges' opinions, fine-tune some details in the choreography, and experience what it's like to swim under the pressure of a competition," said Giovana Stephan, a Flamengo athlete.
It's worth noting that the tournament served as preparation for the World Aquatics Championships, which will take place from July 12th to 20th in Gwangju, South Korea. From there, the Brazilians will go directly to the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, where the sport will be contested from the 29th to the 31st of the same month.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
