Brazil confirmed its dominance in the South American Synchronized Swimming Championships and, this Saturday (29), won another overall title in the competition. In eight events held in Cali, Colombia, divided into youth and junior categories, the Brazilian team won seven gold medals and one silver medal. Six red-and-black athletes were among the great champions.

In the youth category, Jullia Catharino, Jaddy Milla, and Maria Luiza Fonseca secured three of the four gold medals for the Brazilian team in the competitions and one silver. Jullia also took the first gold medal of the South American Championships, earning 140.076 points in her solo performance and earning Brazil's first medal.

Rafaella Catharino and Gabriela Teixeira concluded their participation in the South American youth tournament and said goodbye to the tournament. With two and three competitions under their belts, respectively, the athletes, along with Laura Micucci, were part of the junior category's all-conquering team. 

Brazil took first place overall, with 154 points. Second was Colombia, the home team, with 141 points. Chile rounded out the podium with 92 points.
