Flamengo's synchronized swimmers will now have access to new underwater sound equipment. The club is one of four in Brazil to have this imported equipment, donated by the Brazilian Confederation of Aquatic Sports (CBDA), which will further aid the development of the red-and-blacks.
Roberta Perillier, the girls' coach, emphasized the importance of this donation. "The CBDA initiative was really great. Besides laying the foundation for the club and creating a legacy, this exchange between the Confederation and the club is vitally important and serves as an incentive for the sport," she said.
With six athletes on the country's permanent team - Giovana Stephan, Lorena Molinos, Jéssica Noutel, Maria Clara Lobo, Beatriz Regly and Joseane Martins - the improvement in the pool at the Gávea headquarters will also be beneficial for the Brazilian team.
