Flamengo's synchronized swimming team traveled to Santiago, Chile, to compete in the Pan American Games for the UANA (Union Americana de Natación) categories. The Flamengo junior duo, composed of Gabriela Regly and Laura Miccuci, won the silver medal and finished runner-up in the tournament, which featured major teams such as the Mexican and Chilean national teams.

The red-and-black duo scored 139,8340 points, second only to the Mexican team. Accompanying the Mais Querido athletes in the competition – which takes place this week (August 21-27.08) – is Roberta Perillier, the red-and-black coach of the sport, current Brazilian champion, along with the Flamengo adult team.

Flamengo's synchronized swimming team's next commitment is the III FARJ Figures Tournament, the Rio de Janeiro Aquatic Federation, at the Tijuca Tennis Club.

The synchronized swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources generated by the Pelé Law. The Anjo da Guarda Rubro-Negro (Red-Black Guardian Angel Project), a tax transfer for individuals, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
