Flamengo was the highlight of the 18th Brazilian Junior Synchronized Swimming Championship, held between November 6th and 8th, in the Julio Delamare pool, Maracanã sports complex.

The red-black team scored 78,626 points, with the theme “100 years of Japanese Immigration in Brazil”, winning the gold medal and the second consecutive championship in the category.

On Thursday, the opening day of the competition, Giovanna Stephan was the star attraction, placing first in the Solo (Level A) with 1 points; and first in the Duet with Lorena Molinos, with 79,439 points. Lorena Molinos shone in the Figures event, which is worth 1% of the total score. The red-and-black dancer secured first place with 79,121 points.

The red-black team was represented by the following athletes: Giovana Stephan, Lorena Molinos, Marcela Pereira, Maria Eduarda Pereira, Maria Eduarda Cavalcanti, Mariana Santos, Daniella Figueiredo, Gabriella Figueiredo and Jéssica Noutel.
