Flamengo won three medals in the State synchronized swimming championship, held in the Junior and Youth categories last weekend, featuring the Mais Querido, Tijuca, and Fluminense teams. There were two silver medals and a bronze medal, which left Roberta Perillier, the Junior coach and sports supervisor at the red-and-black club, very pleased.

"We didn't enter the Juniors with a full team because we had some absences, so we only participated in a few events. But in the individual events, all the red-and-black girls in this category improved their rankings," she said. "In the Juniors, second place in the duet was what I expected; our athletes did well," she concluded.

As Roberta Perillier noted, Flamengo won a silver medal in the Youth category: the medal came in the duet event, with Luiza Muzbeck and Gabriela Regly. In the Children's category, where Marina Valadão is the Flamengo coach, the duet of Gabriela Lobo and Beatriz Moreira won silver, and Maria Clara Baroni won bronze in the floor event.

On October 18th, 19th and 20th, the Carioca Championship and the Brazilian Absolute Championship (Adult category) of synchronized swimming will be held.
