Flamengo wins the Brazilian Junior and Senior Artistic Swimming Championship title
Mais Querido finishes second in the Children's and Youth categories

The Brazilian Championships were held from December 5th to 9th at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Park in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. The competition brought together athletes of all ages and crowned the "Mais Querido" (Flamengo) champion in the Junior and Senior categories, as well as second place overall in the Children's and Youth categories.
In the competition's main category, the Senior category, Flamengo took first place in the Free Solo, Team, and Mixed Duet competitions. In the Free Solo category, Flamengo's Maria Clara Lobo won gold with a score of 81,9000, with Camila Ururahy earning bronze. Maria Clara also took silver in the Technical Solo category (74,7508). In the Free Solo and Men's Technical category, Renan Alcântara finished first (77,8000 and 75,3857 points, respectively). In the Mixed Duet category, the Mais Querido gold-winning duo, Renan Alcântara and Giovana Stephan, won the event. The Simple Duet category also had a good result, with Lorena Molinos and Maria Eduarda Miccuci winning silver (157,6686 points) and Laura Miccuci and Júllia Cathatarino taking bronze. For the Free Team, the gold also went to the red-blacks Maria Clara Lobo, Lorena Molinos, Maria Eduarda Miccuci, Giovana Stephan, Maria Eduarda Cavalcanti, Jéssica Noutel, Aline Vieira and Laryssa Cerutti (158,2858 points).
"We really achieved what we wanted, as we were Junior and Senior champions. We expected a very competitive championship, which was indeed the case, but we managed to win. In the youth categories, we were runners-up in both the Junior and Junior categories, which was also not an easy contest. Paineiras do Morumby, for example, fielded three full Junior teams with a large number of athletes, and we still had a good result, so I'm very pleased with our overall performance," said Roberta Perillier, coach of the red-and-black teams.
In the Children's Figures tournament, Ana Clara Almeida, a red-and-black athlete, won the gold medal with 61,5155 points, as well as another gold medal in the Children's Solo (121,8822 points) and silver in the Children's Duet, partnered with Nicole Shinohara (119,1342 points). In the Beginner Children's Figures event, silver went to Giovana Leal, also a red-and-black athlete, (53,9631 points). In the Youth category, competing in the Figures and Solo events, Jaddy Mila Portela won gold in both (68,1832 and 137,6165 points, respectively). Jaddy also won silver in the Duet, partnered with Ana Clara Almeida, also a Rubro-Negro athlete. In the Team competition, the red-blacks Ana Clara Almeida, Nicole Shinohara, Emily Santos, Jaddy Portela, Manuela De Menezes, Eduarda Carrilho, Júlia Bouças and Graziely Dos Santos managed to secure bronze (121,5669 points).
In addition to the Brazilian Championship, the National Selection was held, selecting 14 Junior and Senior athletes to join the Brazilian Team that will compete in the World Championships next year. Representing the Red-Black team, Ana Clara Almeida, from the Youth team in the Figures event, was pre-qualified for the competition.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
