Just like in the first edition of the FARJ Figures Tournament, Flamengo stood out in the pools and secured eight medals in the six events held at the Tijuca Tennis Club. The competition, held last Saturday (12), featured the participation of athletes from the home team, Mais Querido and Fluminense.
In the Beginner Children's category, Flamengo had four representatives and secured gold with Giovanna Faria. Also securing first place was Jullia Catharino in the Youth Level A category, followed by fellow Flamengo player Jaddy Milla, who took silver.
In the Children's Level A category, Mais Querido's synchronized swimming team also won two medals. Ana Clara de Almeida and Nicole Shinohara finished second and third, respectively, taking home silver and bronze.
Ana Beatriz de Almeida was also among the medalists, securing second place on the podium and winning silver in the Junior Beginner category. Ana Carolina de Oliveira, in the Junior Beginner category, and Gabriela Regly, in the Junior Level A category, rounded out the red-and-black medal tally with two bronze medals.
The synchronized swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources generated by the Pelé Law. The Anjo da Guarda Rubro-Negro (Red-Black Guardian Angel Project), a tax transfer for individuals, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
