The girls from Gávea achieved another great feat. From the 22nd to the 25th, they competed in the solo, duet, and team events of the Brazilian Junior Synchronized Swimming Championships at the Corinthians pool in São Paulo.
 
With a total of 587 points, CRFlamengo won the 2009 championship and, as a bonus, the third Brazilian championship in the category. Paineiras do Morumby finished second with 518 points.
 
The competition's standout performer was Lorena Molinos, who secured the top spot on the podium in the solo, duet, and team categories. One of the most experienced members of the group, Lorena wowed the audience with her drive and charisma.
