Flamengo was sovereign in the Brazilian Senior Synchronized Swimming Championship, held between October 22nd and 24th, at Mourisco-Mar, Botafogo's headquarters.

On the first day, the red-and-blacks stole the show with a performance by the technical duo of Lorena Molinos and Giovanna Stephan. The impeccable duo secured the first gold medal for Gávea with a total of 83,333, beating Tijuca's Lara Teixeira and Pamela Nogueira, who scored 83,167. Giovanna Stephan shone, as always, in her solo performance and showed why she is the starting player for the Brazilian team.

With the theme "Clash of the Titans," Flamengo secured the title of Brazilian champion in the Free Team event with a total of 819 points in the overall count. Tijuca (584), Federal Technological University of Paraná (583), Fluminense (325) and Paineiras do Morumby (264) came next, respectively.

With the charisma, tenacity and resourcefulness of the red-blacks Daniella Figueiredo, Gabriella Figueiredo, Michelle Frota, Jessica Noutel, Lorena Molinos, Aline Vieira, Giovana Stephan and Maria Eduarda Pereira, Flamengo defeated their opponents.

"The choreography, created in less than a month, has all the elements of the film. Due to lack of time to create more, our other team used the same theme, adapted for five athletes," explained coach Maura Xavier.
