Flamengo is the great state champion of Artistic Swimming
With teams from Children to Senior, Mais Querido wins the Rio title once again

Once again, Flamengo lifted the title of Rio de Janeiro champion in the modality, in a competition held at the Fluminense pools, on Friday (23), and at the Tijuca Tênis Clube, on Saturday (24) and Sunday (25). Represented by its teams from the Children's to Senior categories, the Mais Querido reached the podium in all the events in which it competed, winning a total of 34 medals.
"The championship was great; our athletes' performance was excellent. As we anticipated, we had the opportunity to evaluate the team and adjust some things for the Brazilian Championship. Now, the coaching staff will meet to analyze what we need to improve for the national competition, which is the main and most important of the year. I'm very proud of the team, as we achieved very good results in all categories. In the events where we didn't win the gold medal, we'll fight back at the Brazilian Championship," said Roberta Perillier, coach of Mais Querido.

The next competition facing the Mais Querido is the Brazilian Championship, the year's main and most important national competition. The tournament takes place from December 5th to 9th at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Park in Rio de Janeiro. It's worth noting that the event will also serve as a tryout for the 2019 Brazilian National Team.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
