Flamengo debuts with medals at the Brazilian Artistic Swimming Championships

The first day of competition at the Brazilian Artistic Swimming Championship, held at the Julio Delamare Aquatic Park, began with medals for Mengão.

In the women's technical floor event, Laura Miccuci reigned supreme and with a flawless performance secured a gold medal with 272.715. Luzia Galvez also performed well and won bronze.

"It was just the beginning, but I'm very, very happy with the result. I was able to put everything I trained into practice and execute all the movements. There's more tomorrow," said the Brazilian national team athlete.

Next, Bernardo Santos and Gabi Regly confirmed their favoritism and also took gold in the senior technical mixed duet. With a beautiful performance, they received 244.762.

Bernardo Santos returned to the water to compete in the men's technical solo. The red-and-black athlete delivered a performance that perfectly combined technical routine and artistic elements, earning him another gold medal.

"It was an excellent debut. Now it's time to focus on the next challenges. There's still a lot of competition ahead," said the Paraíba native.

Closing the first day of competition, the red-black team formed by Laura Miccuci, Gabriela Regly, Jullia Catharino, Vitoria Casale, Giovana Faria, Jaddy Milla, Ana Beatriz Nunes and Luiza Lopes, made an impressive performance and secured the lead in the first part of this dispute with 285.0944 points.
