Flamengo takes silver medal at the Brazil Open
Red-and-black athletes represented Brazil in the competition last weekend

Represented by eight athletes at the Brazil Synchro Open, an open synchronized swimming event, held last weekend (June 4th and 5th), at the Júlio De Lamare Aquatic Park, at the Maracanã Sports Complex, Flamengo 'won' a silver medal, with Giovana Stephan, in the solo event.
Giovana Stephan, Lorena Molinos, Michelle Frota, Maria Eduarda Pereira, Joseane Martins, Jessica Noutel, and twins Daniella and Gabriella Figueiredo finished fourth in the team competition with the Brazilian national team. Roberta Perillier, Brazil's assistant coach and head coach of Flamengo, couldn't hide her excitement about the result.
"The eight, despite finishing fourth in the team event final, managed to beat the Americans and French, an unprecedented result in the technical program. I was very happy and satisfied," she said proudly.
For the Red-Black team, all athletes placed in the top ten in their respective disciplines. Maria Eduarda Cavalcanti and Aline Vieira placed fifth and seventh, respectively, on the floor exercise, and the duet of Camila Ururahy and Marcela Pereira had the seventh-highest score of the competition.
In its debut edition, the Brazil Synchro Open featured the participation of eight nations: Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Aruba, Canada, Colombia, France and the United States, in addition to Brazilian clubs that faced each other in solo, duet and team events.
