Flamengo's new Olympic pool, named Daltely Guimarães, hosted the 18st 2017 FARJ (Rio de Janeiro Aquatic Federation) synchronized swimming Figures Tournament last Saturday (March XNUMX). This was the Mais Querido's first opportunity to host an official competition in the sport, and the result was positive.

 

"We are very proud to host this state competition here in our new pool. I personally asked some parents of the athletes present what they thought of Flamengo's new facilities, and they were all very pleased. We were only able to hold this event here at the club because the new pool meets all the needs that an event of this size requires, including its depth," proudly declared the Rubro-Negro's coach, Roberta Perillier.

Concurrent with the 2017st FARJ Figures Tournament XNUMX, the eight athletes from the Rio de Janeiro team were selected for the Interfederative Championship, which will take place in May of this year. Among those selected, the "Mais Querido" will be represented by four swimmers: Manuella de Menezes, Maria Eduarda Ferreira, Grazielly dos Santos, and Joseane de Santana.
