The Fadel Fadel Aquatic Park, located in Gávea, will host the FARJ Winter State Artistic Swimming Tournament this weekend. Senior and junior events will take place on Saturday, starting at noon, and youth and children's events will take place on Sunday, at the same time. In addition to Flamengo, Tijuca Tênis Clube and Nado Arte (MG) are also participating in the competition.

In the senior category, Mengão is coming in full force. Maria Clara Lobo, Jaddy Portela, Julia Catharino, Vitória Casale, Gabi Regly, Giovana Stephan, Lorena Molinos, Rebecca Rodrigues, and Bernardo Santos will be in the pool, seeking titles for Mengão. Laura Miccuci will be absent, as she is transitioning from pre-Olympic training. She returns to training at the end of the month.

"We organized this competition with a reduced choreography time to evaluate the first semester. From there, we'll plan and prepare for the Brazilian Championship at the end of the second semester," explained Artistic Sports Coordinator Roberta Perillier, revealing that juniors Ana Clara Almeida and Giovana Faria, both 15, will compete in the adult category.

“Let’s do this test and see how they perform,” he added.

On Sunday, the biggest expectation will be the debut of the children's category. The team is made up entirely of scholarship recipients from the CONAFLA Project – Flamengo Artistic Swimming Parents and Friends Committee – which raised funds for children without financial resources but with the potential to become future athletes in the sport.

The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
