The girls of the red-black synchronized swimmer are preparing for another big challenge in Rio de Janeiro next Saturday (16). Competing in the III Technical Routine Tournament of the Aquatic Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FARJ), Flamengo will go to the pools of Tijuca Tênis Clube with eight athletes in search of good results.

Representing Mais Querido, the girls from the school and pre-team in the beginner category will be led by Thais Teles, who spoke about her expectations for the competition.

"They train for two hours a day, preparing for the competition and putting in intense work. The girls who will compete came from the swimming school. It's always hectic, but we hope everything works out in the end. We're going to this tournament with eight athletes, and four of them are participating for the first time. They're looking forward to this debut, as there are so many details to consider, and there are always new things. I'm also excited to see how it will go; it's a really cool project. Everyone is very focused and helping each other," said Thais.

Of the eight athletes selected, five are from the Children's category, two from the Youth category, and one from the Junior category. In the last edition of the competition, Flamengo won 21 medals and was the standout performer in the Gávea pool.
