Three Flamengo players will participate in the Pan American synchronized swimming tournament, which will be held in Puerto Rico from August 16th to 21st. Coach Roberta Perillier will lead the junior girls, including Maria Clara Lobo. Larissa Cerutti will compete in the junior category.

"This is what we work for: to deliver results for Flamengo. Obviously, when the club becomes a top club, it ends up producing athletes for the Brazilian National Team, which is where the best players are. It's a sign that the work is paying off," said the Mais Querido coach.

The competition will be organized by the American Swimming Union and traditionally focuses on youth teams. Therefore, Flamengo will not have any representatives in the adult competition. Last month, at the World Aquatics Championships, half of the athletes on the Brazilian synchronized swimming team were Flamengo fans.

In Puerto Rico, junior Maria Clara Lobo will compete in the individual and duet events. In the Junior category, there will only be team competition. Larissa Cerutti will compete for medals in the free and combined group events.

"I'm very excited and hopeful. We're training a lot and that's exactly what we need to achieve our goal, which is to win a medal. I don't know what color it is, but we want to bring it home," said Maria Clara Lobo, who will travel with her teammates to Puerto Rico next Wednesday (14.08/XNUMX).
