Flamengo has three representatives at this year's Argentina Synchro Open

Maria Clara Lobo, Renan Alcantara and Giovana Stephan represent the Most Beloved in the competition

After competing in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, Flamengo's synchronized swimmer Maria Clara Lobo returns to represent Flamengo, and Brazil, internationally. Lobo, along with Renan Alcantara and Giovana Stephan, the Mais Querido mixed duo, is in Buenos Aires to participate in the 5th Argentina Synchro Open, Argentina's most important international synchronized swimming tournament.

The red-and-black trio, which will hit the pool later this week (28th, 29th, and 30th), is competing with teams from all over Latin America. Maria Clara is fighting for the floor title, and Renan and Giovana are competing for the mixed duet title, a new category in the sport.

The synchronized swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR). The renovation of the Gávea Olympic pool is supported by investments from Lafarge and Ambev via the State Sports Incentive Law/State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure and Youth (ICMS), in addition to funds from the Agnelo Piva Law/Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC).
