The red-and-black duo of Gabriela Regly and Laura Miccuci won silver in the junior duet at the Pan American Games last week (21 to 27.08), standing out in Santiago, Chile. After their great result in the tournament, Gabriela classified the outcome of the competition as positive for synchronized swimming.

"It was a very good experience for us, we learned a lot. From nutrition during training to how to face our opponents and overcome ourselves. Even competing against national teams, we were very focused on achieving our goals and ended up competing on equal terms against them, taking second place behind one of the duos from Mexico," said the athlete.

Now, the duo returns to Rio de Janeiro and, in preparation for the Brazilian Championship, the focus of the second half of the year and the main objective of the sport, they compete in the III FARJ Figures Tournament, at Tijuca Tênis Clube.

The synchronized swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources generated by the Pelé Law. The Anjo da Guarda Rubro-Negro (Red-Black Guardian Angel Project), a tax transfer for individuals, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
