Giovana Stephan secures excellent ranking at the World Aquatics Championships

Giovana Stephan is the first Brazilian synchronized swimming athlete to qualify for the finals in the solos event at a World Championships, which took place yesterday (July 20th). This is an unprecedented feat in the 31-year history of Brazilian participation in the FINA World Aquatics Championships. In the qualifying rounds, Giovana competed against 27 other soloists and placed 11th with 86.500 points. In the finals, she achieved the same score as in the qualifying rounds. With her choreography performed to the theme song from the movie "Angel," she finished 12th in the technical routine. This Wednesday (July 22nd), Giovana will compete in the Free Routine qualifying rounds. The competition has been broadcast live on Sport TV at 6 a.m.
