Giovanna Stephan is highlighted in Italy
Rubro-Negra, part of the Brazilian Synchronized Swimming Team, shines at the Italian Open
By Media Relations - inOnce again, the Brazilian Synchronized Swimming Team made its presence felt and secured excellent results for Brazil. This Thursday (June 10th), the first day of competition at the Italian Open being held in Loano, the Brazilians put on a real show. Technical routines, such as Solo, Duet, and Team, were performed.
\Flamengo athlete Giovanna Stephan had the best performance among the other soloists and finished in first place with a total of 42,584 points. Second place went to Italian Linda Cerruti (42,417), followed by Mexican Nuria Diosdato (40,667).
\In the Team competition, the Italian team came out on top with 45,000 points. The Brazilian team, which features three red-and-black players (Michelle Frota, Lorena Molinos, and Giovanna Stephan), secured second place with 43,334 points, followed by Mexico with 42,583.
\The Italian Open continues this Friday (June 11th) with the long program (Free Routine) for all three disciplines. Saturday will feature the Combo qualifier (Combined Free Routine) and the Solo and Team finals, and finally, Sunday will feature the Duet and Combo finals. More than 6 teams are participating in the competition.
