Swimming sisters travel to the World Cup for the National Team
Flamengo athletes join the team that will travel in search of gold

Flamengo synchronized swimming sisters Beatriz and Gabriela Regly will travel to Finland on Saturday (July 26.07) to compete in the Junior World Championships for the Brazilian national team. The athletes will travel with Flamengo coach Roberta Perillier, who also coaches the Brazilian team. The twins, who have been swimming together since 2007, will represent their country on the same team for the first time.
Although their mother is a volleyball coach at Mais Querido, Beatriz and Gabriela don't venture outside the pool. Passionate about the sport and the Flamengo, the girls who are part of Brazil's starting lineup are counting on the support of Flamengo fans for the World Cup. "It's always great to represent your country in such a big and exciting competition like this. We'd like to invite the entire Flamengo Nation to cheer us on in the championship. We are Brazil, we are Flamengo in the National Team," said Beatriz.
Training in Finland begins on July 27th. The competition runs from July 30th to August 3rd. Depending on coach Roberta's confidence, the girls will return with great results from the trip. "We don't have any favorites, so we've been training hard. It's a young generation, but very focused. We'll strive to reach at least one final. Putting red-and-black athletes on the national team is great, because we know we'll have a 'Flamília' defending Brazil," said the coach.
