The 2020 season for the red-and-black artistic swimming team is about to begin! Outside the pools, the club's professionals working on the sport are already defining the planning that will be carried out throughout the year. In addition to the regional and national competitions, five athletes from Mais Querido will be competing for spots on the Brazilian National Team that will participate in the South American Championships.

Jaddy Portela, Jullia Catharino, Vitória Casale, and Bernardo da Silva are the Flamengo players with a chance of qualifying for the South American Championship. Laura Micucci has also been called up to be part of the Brazilian Olympic Duet, the same team that will compete in the competition.

Jéssica Noutel, coach of Flamengo's artistic swimming teams, presented a new feature for the 2020 season.

"This year we'll have a big challenge: the Highlight routine, a relatively new routine in the sport that will now be included in major competitions. It will have some mandatory elements and many lifts; it's like a show! I'm excited to choose a theme and create the choreography!" said the coach.
