Rubro-negra Laura Miccuci leaves next Saturday (25) for Toronto, Canada, where she will participate in an artistic swimming training camp between January 26 and February 9. The Mais Querido athlete, alongside Luísa Borges, will represent the Brazilian duet at the event.

"It's going to be a very positive period for the national duet, as we'll hear feedback from three different coaches, from Canada, Russia, and Japan, which are currently the most prominent countries in artistic swimming worldwide. They'll also be open to modifying the choreography to improve it for the Pre-Olympic competition, which is our main focus at the moment," Laura emphasized.

The World Olympic Pre-Olympic Championships will be held from April 30 to May 5 in Tokyo, Japan. The competition will determine which athletes will represent the Brazilian National Team at the 2020 Olympics, which will also be held in the Japanese capital.

The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
