With an eye on the artistic swimming Pre-Olympics, Laura Micucci traveled to São Paulo this week and is participating in a training period for the Brazilian Olympic Duet, alongside Luísa Borges, from Fluminense. The training, which takes place until next Saturday (14), is held at Clube Paineiras do Morumby and serves as preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, postponed to next year.

"The training period has been very positive. We're receiving feedback from our coach Andréa Cury, here in São Paulo. This Thursday and Friday (12th and 13th), we'll have the participation of Nayara, a former Olympic athlete who competed in the London 2012 Games. She's also helping us with these final adjustments to the choreography for Tokyo 2021," said Laura.
It is worth mentioning that the artistic swimming Pre-Olympics are scheduled to take place in March of next year and will determine the teams that will qualify for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. Laura Micucci and Luísa Borges are in the running for a spot in the duet competition.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
