Flamengo's top athlete, Giovanna Stephan achieved another feat during her performances for the Brazilian Synchronized Swimming Team.

On Sunday morning, Giovanna, a Brazilian soloist who has been standing out in each competition, won the silver medal at the 12th Infantas de Espanha Trophy, the country's open championship, which featured the participation of 19 teams, including clubs and national teams from Spain, Brazil, Canada, the United States, Switzerland, Venezuela and Bulgaria.

As the Royal Spanish Federation highlighted, the "very elegant Giovanna" scored 89.4875 points, leaving behind American Mery Killman (88.8875). The two fought a tough duel from the qualifying rounds, with Giovanna winning the technical event and Mery the freestyle. The gold medal went to Spain's Andrea Fuentes (96.2375), who replaced the famous Gema Mengual.

In the Team final, the Brazilian team, which includes the red-blacks Michelle Frota, Lorena Molinos, Giovana Stephan, Gabriella Figueiredo (Reserve) and Maria Eduarda Pereira (Reserve) won the bronze medal with a score of 89.7625, behind Spain (95.9625) and Canada (92.2000).

After the results of all the events were tallied, Brazil came in second place with a total of 357.8375 points. Spain, the home team, won all the gold medals in the competition and came in first with 384.5875. Third place went to Canada (which did not compete in the solo or duet events) with 183.7750.
