Flamengo athletes continue to excel at the South American Youth Championships, held in Valparaíso, Chile. In synchronized swimming, Flamengo soloist Maria Clara Coutinho delivered the best performance in her discipline and took gold for Brazil. 

Last Wednesday, Maria Clara finished first after performing "Salomé" in her free solo routine, earning 74,070 points. Yesterday, the athlete led again, scoring 70,0429 points. The sum of the two results (144,1129) guaranteed the red-black team the highest place on the podium.

This Friday (March 22.03), the Brazilian National Team will compete again in the team events in the youth and junior categories. And on Saturday, the last day of the competition, Maria Clara will have another opportunity to win a medal, this time with her partner Juliana Damico, in the "Duets" category. The event is scheduled for 17 p.m.
