With two red-blacks on the team, the Brazilian synchronized swimming team debuted this Saturday morning (25.07) at the 16th World Aquatics Championships, in Kazan, Russia, with the technical routine of the team event and secured a place in the final.
With the theme "bikers" and the instrumental rock mix "Black Detty," the team of Maria Clara Coutinho and Lorena Molinos scored 83.0283 points and secured 12th place. The technical team's decision will be on Monday, July 27th, at 07:11 am (Brasília time).
On Sunday (26.07), the qualifiers for the Combined Free Routine – Combo – will be held with Brazilian presence.
The synchronized swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors—Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR). The renovation of the Gávea Olympic-sized swimming pool is supported by investments from Lafarge and Ambev via the State Sports Incentive Law/State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure, and Youth (ICMS), in addition to funds from the Agnelo Piva Law/Brazilian Confederation of Clubs.
