The Brazilian junior synchronized swimming team secured a place in the Solo and Team finals of the World Championships in this category, which is being held in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Giovana Stephan, the Olympic duet reverse, showed off her talent in the solo qualifying round, scoring 47.850 points to place 12th out of 24 soloists. The athlete, who is from CRF Lamengo, will compete in the final round this Sunday, August 13th.

Yesterday (Thursday), the Brazilian team, which has eight red-blacks, scored 84.500 points, qualifying in eighth place for this Saturday's final.

As always, Russia leads the competition. In the second "platoon," Spain, China, and Japan are in a tight battle.
