Flamengo's Artistic Swimming team shines on the second day of the Brazilian Championship

The sun shone brightly this hot Friday at Julio De Lamare Aquatic Park. The second day of competition in the Brazilian Artistic Swimming Championships was packed with competitions and excellent results for Mengão. 

In the morning, the red-and-black duet formed by Gabi Regly and Jullia Catharino enchanted everyone present and comfortably secured first place in the technical test, totaling 275.2777 points. Today's index is added to the scores in the free routine, which will be held on Sunday (28) to define the champion duet. 

In the women's free solo, Laura Miccuci won again. The Brazilian national team athlete, who had already won gold in the technical event, drew applause from the crowd and won another gold medal with a score of 248.5971. 

Ana Clara Santos took bronze with 204.1097.

In the men's free solo event, Bernardo Santos shone once again. The red-and-black showed off his talent and thrilled the stands with a performance that earned him 192.6541 and another gold medal.

"I'm thrilled. I never imagined I could get this far. I love what I do and I'm very grateful to Flamengo for believing in me and my potential," said Bernardo.

In the afternoon, he returned to the pool to compete for another medal, this time in the free duet with Jaddy Mila. To the sound of Linkin Park, they performed a thrilling choreography and took another gold medal for Flamengo, scoring 222.3416.

"We were really happy with what we did in the pool today. The energy was contagious, and we did our best," celebrated Jaddy Mila.

The competition runs until Sunday at the Júlio De Lamare Aquatic Park. This Saturday, starting at 9 am, the junior and senior team acrobatics events will take place.
