Red-and-black Artistic Swimming participates in National Selection at Maria Lenk Aquatic Park
In total, 14 athletes from Mais Querido in the Junior and Senior categories will be seeking places on the Brazilian National Team.
By Romulo Paranhos - inThe Brazilian artistic swimming athletes will participate in the National Selections for the sport next weekend, from November 29th to December 1st, at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Park in Barra da Tijuca. The competition will determine the swimmers who will be part of the Brazilian team that will compete in the South American Absolute Championship in Buenos Aires and the 17th Junior World Artistic Swimming Championships in Quebec, Canada.
In total, the Most Beloved will be represented by eight athletes in each category, they are: Jullia Catharino, Jaddy Portela, Maria Luiza Fonseca, Manuella Batista, Júlia Bouças, Graziely Miranda, Eduarda Carrilho and João Bouças (Junior); and Bernardo Silva, Laura Miccuci, Maria Clara Lobo, Gabriela Regly, Vitória Casale, Rebecca Rodrigues, Jullia Catharino and Jaddy Portela (Senior).
The anthropometric evaluation, which observes the athletes' body measurements, will be carried out on Friday (29), at 14:30 pm. The elements test will be held on Saturday (30), at 9 am. The routine test will take place in the afternoon, starting at 14:30 pm. On Sunday (01), at the end of the event, the physical-technical aptitude test will be carried out, starting at 7:30 am.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
