Five red-and-blacks made a difference by representing Brazil at the 12th Junior World Synchronized Swimming Championships, held between August 11th and 15th, in Indianapolis, United States.

With impeccable performances, the Brazilians reached two finals: one in the team event, where Brazil finished in 12th place (148,137 points), and the other in the Combined Free Routine (Combo), where they finished in 11th place (76,770). Russia won both, with 170,486 and 91,840 points, respectively.

The Brazilian twins, Gabriella and Daniella Figueiredo, finished 15th in the free routine, but dropped to 18th in the figures. In the team event, the Brazilians outperformed the Swiss, totaling 80,730 points to the Europeans' 80,350. However, their opponents finished 11th overall, having surpassed Brazil in the figures event (70,113 to 67,407 points).
