Synchronized swimmers head to the United States next Saturday

The Brazilian team is made up of five Flamengo athletes.

Flamengo is the majority member of the Brazilian synchronized swimming team that will compete in the 12th Junior World Championships, between August 11th and 15th, in Indianapolis (USA). Five red-and-blacks (full list below) will embark next Saturday (07.08) with the same objective: to win the long-awaited gold medal in their respective events.

A total of 25 countries will compete in the Junior World Championship, which will feature performances in solo, duet, team, and combo (Free Combination Routine, which encompasses all three disciplines). The Brazilian team will perform with the theme of the Amazon.

Flamengo twins Gabriella and Daniella Figueiredo, champions of the 2010 Latin Cup in Mar del Plata, Argentina, are among those called up. This will be the second World Cup for four of the five Flamengo athletes selected.
